Hanjin first calling at Gwangyang for North America/Asia service
Hanjin Shipping will call at Gwangyang Port to improve services between North America and Asia (PNX).
The Yeosu Regional Maritime Affaires & Fisheries Office announced on May 7 that the 'Hanjin Vienna', a 5,752 TEU class container ship, called at Gwangyang Port to expand their PNX service on May 3.
Hanjin Shipping entered five 5,700 TEU class vessels in the PNX service; vessels call at the port every Tuesday and Wednesday.
The company prepared to call at the port from the first of this year. They expanded the vessels from twelve 4,599 TEU class vessels to thirteen 5,700 TEU class vessels in the route connecting America-Asia-Europe to improve the quality of the service.
Meanwhile, Hanjin Shipping will call at Gwangyang Port with 5 new vessels in the Asia and North American West Coast services from July.
One official from the Yeosu office said, "Gwangyang Port will increase cargoes for shipping companies and will expand vessels in their Central and South American services and feeder services from May."
