Heung-A Shipping and STX Panocean open new CIS service
Heung-A Shipping and STX Panocean will start a joint service connecting between Shanghai Port and main ports in Southeast Asia from the end of May.
The two companies announced on May 10 that they would put the ?ape Cambel? 'Indonesia Star' and 'Dubai World', all 600 TEU class vessels, in the China Indonesia Service (CIS) route.
Two of the vessels are from Heung-A Shipping invests and one from STX Panocean. The calling route is Shanghai-Hong Kong-Chiwan-Singapore-Jakarta-Singapore-Hong Kong-Shanghai.
The service will operate between Shanghai and Singapore, and Shanghai and Jakarta with the routes taking 7 and 10 days respectively . The new services will increase competitiveness for cargo services operating between Chinese and Southeast Asian ports.
