South Cheolla ad campaign targets Seoul subway system
South Cheolla province will start a large public relations campaign in the main subway stations in Seoul and Kwangju Airport to attract Mokpo Newport customers.
According to the province, they will establish large light boxes for Mokpo Newport public relations at main subway stations in Seoul, gathering shipping companies, shippers and Gwangju Airport, all of which have significant traffic to and from China.
The light boxes will be attached to walls. They will be displayed in Jongno 3-ga and Seoul City Hall stations, around Uljiro station in Seoul, and in the second floor lobby in Kwangju Airport starting this month for one year.
South Cheolla province will advertise that Mokpo Newport is a base port handling container cargoes, vehicles and cargoes in the Yellow Sea. Mokpo Newport is the first domestic private port. Last year it opened 4 multipurpose wharves and started a liner container service for the first time since the port opened 108 years ago.
South Cheolla province expects cargoes will increase remarkably thanks to good results from sales in Chinese ports. Also, they expect that Mokpo Newport will handle 1,800,000 tons of cargoes with this ad campaign in Seoul and Gwangju.
