HMM to establish stronger presence in India

Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM21.com) expands its overseas business structure. It will change from its Mumbai subsidiary in India to a corporative office and will also send a resident officer overseas to improve the system for its tankers and bulk cargoes business.

First, HMM will change its corporative office to a BRICs country, and its Mumbai subsidiary in April of this year. It will add two resident officers for its general cargoes business. There are currently two resident officers for HMM's container business in Mumbai.

According to sources at the company, HMM intends to develop the Indian market first after developing the market in China.
