Pusan Port introduces fast track system for emergency repair works
BPA (Busan Port Authority) announced on January 3 that it would introduce the fast track system to let BPA work first for emergency repairs of port facilities, and later determine who pays for it, and what the reasons were for the damage.
Pusan Port suffers some damage everyday due to much traffic from large size ships and vehicles and heavy cargoes handling. But timely repairs have been delayed because it takes too much time to find out the reasons for facilities breaking and deciding on who would be responsible for payment.
Under the new system, BPA would prepare labor and materials to manage port facilities by introducing this system; also, it will repair damage immediately to minimize inconveniences for customers and the possibilities of additional damage.
