[ Inauguration of Trana Atlantic Service ]

K-Line(Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd.), Tokyo, and COSCO(China Ocean
Shipping Group) Compay, Beijing are proud to announce their new
Atlantic Services which will commence in February. The new service
will be coordinated in a Trans Atlantic Service pursuant to
agreements pending approval from appropriate authorities. Yang Ming
Line(Yangming Marine Transport Corporation) will also operate one,
2000TEU vessel coordinated with this Trans Atlantic Service under
approved agreements. The new service will cocsist of four 2,000TEUI
container ships offering weekly service in the trade.
The calling ports and rotation will be as follows:
Antwerp-Felixstowe-Bremerhaven-Rotterdam-New
York-Charleston-Norfolk-New York-Antwerp.
By offering this new service, the Lines will meet their customers’
requirements for a broader scope of service, while at the same time
increasing efficiency in operations in every field.
