Hanjin Shipping strengthened its position for the China/Europe service with this ship and has become more competitive in the Chinese market with better customer service through high-speed vessels and with larger and more modern vessels.
Hanjin is the 5th largest carrier in the world with 72 container ships. It ordered a 7,500 TEU class 5 container ship in March last year.
Meanwhile, this is the first new ship for the company in 7 years since the currency crisis in 1997.
