Highly qualified people apply for BPA recruiting
3,748 applicants knocked on the BPA door, which is scheduled to launch next January. Competition for positions is high with applicants outnumbering positions by about 104:1 on average, revealed the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (MOMAF) Dec. 4. Especially, 6th grade positions, which are looking for new staff, showed the highest competition with 1,958 applicants for 6 positions in general administration and 311 applicants for 1 port construction position, or about 324:1.
Especially, 835 highly qualified applicants responded for the job offerings: 80 people with doctorates, 604 master`s degree, 143 recording TOEIC scores over 900, 7 Certified Public Accountants (CPA) and 1 licensed tax accountant.
The MOMAF will pick out 10 candidates per position from amongst the on-line applicants. Selection is based on career, school marks and language score. After career paper selections and personal interviews, the final decisions will be announced Dec. 20 through a MOMAF on-line board.
