Hanjin Shipping receives plaque of thanks from BVQI

Hanjin Shipping was selected as 'an exemplary enterprise, environmentally, for security and in quality' and received a plaque of thanks December 1st from Oh Bang-hwan, the representative director of BVQI, Korea branch.
Hanjin introduced quality control systems in 1994 and has successfully managed it over the last 10 years. Moreover, Hanjin went through the ISO9001/14001 regular examination with almost perfect marks last October. That is why Hanjin received the plaque from BVQI. BVQI is a certification organization founded in 1988 with its head office in London. About 55,000 enterprises have gained BVQI certification, including Dupont, Sony, Coca-Cola, Samsung Electronics (semiconductor divsion) and LG Electronics.
Hanjin gained ISO 9001 (quality control) in 1994, ISO 14001 (environment section) in 2000 and OHSAS18001 (health section) in 2002. The plaque may bolster Hanjin's reputation, and improve its international competitiveness.
