Shipping and shipbuilding businesses decided to cooperate with each other for business development.
According to the KSA (Korea Shipowners' Association), business circles recently held the third conference for the development of the shipping and shipbuilding industries and agreed to stimulate the shipping and shipbuilding development council more and also discussed council operation rules.
Especially, the Korea Shipowners' Association and the Korea Shipbuilders' Association voiced opinions about the shipping and shipbuilding markets, and ship financing system during a conference.
The shipping and shipbuilding development council, which is made of the members of two associations and other business experts, was organized this year for the close cooperation of the two associations. In fact, there have been difficulties in cooperating since the latter half of the 1990's when the GSSP (Government Sponsored Shipbuilding Program) was repealed after 20 years of operation.
