[ Korea’s first LNG carrier completed its first entry
Korea Gas Corp., (KGS) said that Korea’s first gas (LNG) carrier success-
fully completed its first time calling at Pyongtaek.
The 103,764-ton carrier named ‘Hyundai Utopia’which was built at HHI
shipyard and delivered to Hyundai Merchant Marine Co., has carried Korea’s
imported LNG from Indonesia.As a matter of fact, Korea currently has
long-term import contracts with Malaysia and Indonesia and further,
last month signed a two-year contract with Brunei.
