PSS levied on West Africa bound cargoes from East Asia
Container lines servicing the trade from Far East, India and Middle East to West Africa will implement a Peak Season Surcharge(PSS) of USD 100/TEU effective September 1st 2003 on a B/L date basis.
In the peak season, pressure on liner carriers’networks will increase, causing operational unit costs to increase. This surcharge is needed to compensate carriers in order to facilitate that a stable and high level of service quality
