Hanjin Shipping signs MOU
Hanjin shipping signed an MOU with the UNDP (United Nations Development Program) Korea, LG CNS, Hajin Ltd. and the Maeil Business Newspaper. Through this agreement, Hanjin will transport used computers to support businesses in developing countries, and narrow the gap with advanced countries.
The MOU (Memorandum Of Understanding) will be supervised by the Maeil Business Newspaper. LG CNS will support the venture with 135 used computers, Hajin Ltd. will pack and transport them to Pusan port, and Hanjin shipping will transport them from Pusan to Sianoukville in Cambodia. The charitable project will be completely financed by the involved companies.
The computers will be shipped at the end of May and will arrive in June. UNESCO will distribute them to Cambodian teachers and students.
