HHI operates SCAS Service
Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) announced on February 28 that they have just operated SCAS (Shipowner & Class Assistance System) to help overseas ship owners inquire on the present status their shipbuilding orders and shipyards in real-time from their country.
According to HHI, the system offers ship owners information on each ship including the construction process with pictures and lets HHI take ship owner requests.
In addition to this, the system offers domestic inspectors news, tips in Korean and information on the shipyard area, e.g. Ulsan, as well as other information for their convenience.
HHI stressed that offering this new service would increase their corporate image and instill greater confidence in their overseas customers.
