HMM reshuffles management

Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) carried out two?step restructuring, dismissing 10 managers and reshuffling departments on September 25. The company also introduced a new container strategy that will concentrate energy on gathering cargoes for containerships after selling off its car-carrier division.
HMM reduced its offices to 4 headquarters with 26 departments in 5 offices from 5 headquarters with 30 departments in 7 offices.
An HMM insider said, ?this streamlining is focusing on maximizing the productivity and efficiency. We are going to regain credibility in the market by employing young and competent people and restructuring the company.
