Sinokor launches Masan and Shimoseki service
Sinokor Merchant Maine operates two vessels in Masan/Shimonoseki trade with schedule of 6 times a week.
South Kyoungsang province revealed September 2 that it selected Sinokor Merchant Marine in final negotiations as a trade operator in Masan and Shimoseki. Makwan Ferry operated Masan/Shimonoseki trade until early this year. After Makwan Ferry withdrew from the trade, the province announced bidding was open for a new trade operator; they received business plans from two companies applying for the trade.
Chosen as the trade operator, Sinokor will deploy one 3,600-ton container vessel, the 'Sinokor Pyoungtaek', and one more chartered vessel in the trade, departing Masan every afternoon and entering Shimoseki the next morning.
A South Kyoungsang province official revealed that Sinokor would operate the service six times a week to keep freshness for vegetables and fisheries products and to secure quick delivery, with one vessel more than its earlier plan.
Sinokor will sign with South Kyoungsang province for trade operation sometime in the middle of September and plans to begin vessel operations in October.
