MAERSK LOGISTICS JOINS C-TPAT PROGRAMME
When U. S. Customs today opens for applications from supply chain operators, Maersk Logistics will be one of the first global consolidators to enrol.
Copenhagen, August 26, 2002. In April 2002 U. S. Customs introduced a joint government ? trade security initiative called C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism), and when the programme today opens for freight consolidators to register, the application from Maersk Logistics will be among the first in this segment.
Maersk Logistics recognises that supply chain operators has an important role to play when it comes to increasing the overall security level in the global transport segment. “We fully support the C-TPAT initiative and look forward to serving our clients as an integral part of a secure supply chain”, says Mr. Søren K. Brandt, global Managing Director and CEO of Maersk Logistics. “Enrolling with the C-TPAT programme is a natural step for Maersk Logistics. We are committed to working with our clients and the U. S.
