[ ECU-LINE is going for strong developments ]
By June 1st, ECU-LINE SOUTH AFRICA PTY. LTD. will fully operational in
Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.
By July / August, ECU-LINE will also establish their own office in por
t Elisabeth. Until then, the coordination and follow-up for Port Elisa
beth will done by ECU-LINE SOUTH AFRICA in Cape Town.
ECU-LINE starts with 4 offices at the same time in order to be able to
offer from day one the same possibilities to their customers as in th
e past.
All ECU-LINE offices in South Africa will completely automated, with a
software system as well for imports and exports. This is rather excep
tional in South Africa, and consequently ECU-LINE feels that in the ve
ry near future ECU-LINE SOUTH AFRICA PTY. LTD. will go through some ve
ry positive developments.
The headoffice of ECU-LINE SOUTH AFRICA PTY. LTD. will be in Johannesb
urg. This office will be managed by Mrs. Lynn Stoffberg and Durban by
Mr. Van Zwieten.
ECU-LINE SOUTH AFRICA PTY. LTD. will handle all inbound cargo from the
entire ECU-LINE / FLAMINGO LINE network in the world.
But besides the inbound function, they will also profile themselves as
well as export consolidator in a very detailed way from South Africa
to most places in the world.
Agreements are already made with a private CFS, so that the complete s
ervice package can be developped in a very professional way.
Besides the traditional seafreight activities, ECU-LINE will also deve
lop in Mozambique and they are presently training Belgian people to op
en up ECU-LINE MOZAMBIQUE offices to overlook the transhipment arrange
ments in Mapute and Beira for transhipments to Zimbabwe, Zambia and Ma
lawi.
