Wan Hai Lines recently announced the launch of their China - India Service II 'CI2 service' at the end of February, 2016.
This new service will expand Wan Hai Lines network by providing direct service from North China to West India. It will also complement Wan Hai Lines existing 4 other West India services with better port coverage and frequency.
This service will be jointly operated with Interasia Lines, Pacific International Lines (Pte) Ltd. and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd., by using 6 vessels with a nominal capacity of 4250 TEU. Wan Hai Lines will deploy 3 vessels, while IAL, PIL and MOL will operate 1 vessel each. CI2's maiden voyage WAN HAI 507 will commence from Qingdao port on 27th February, 2016 and arrive in Nhava Sheva on March 16th, 2016. It will be a 42-day fixed round trip schedule.
The port rotation will be: Qingdao - Shanghai - Ningbo - Shekou - Singapore - Port Kelang (North port) - Nhava Sheva (JNPCT) - Mundra - Colombo - Penang - Port Kelang (North port) - Hong Kong - Qingdao.
