Busan Port Authority (BPA) and Korea Register (KR) will cooperate for an eco-friendly vessel and port industry.
BPA and KR signed an MOU at the BPA conference room in Busan Jungang-dong on the 10th and aim for mutual development through active interchange of training and skill in the fields.
The two parties will promote joint business for local community development, renewable energy development including solar°§wind power, North Pole Route & overseas ports development, green vessel verification service, and consulting on eco-friendly vessel evaluation index development through the agreement.
BPA President Ki-tack Lim said, “Introducing an eco-friendly system is essential for the sustainable growth of Busan Port. I am pleased to share the training and skill systems to foster a green port by cooperating with KR.” < Korea Shipping Gazette >
