KLC celebrates 35th anniversary

Korea Line Corporation celebrated its 35th anniversary at its head office December 12. At the event, president Lee Jin Bang handed out awards to men of merit after giving a memorial speech.
Kim Byung Rok, vice-director of the special cargo team, and Cho Young Woon, head of the department of maritime affairs team, received awards for land operations, and a mate, Huh Nam Chang, an engineer Kim Jong Il, and a boatswain, Um Jong Man received awards for ocean operations.
President Lee Jin Bang said in a speech, "I thank all of you [company members], we overcame many difficulties through these 35 years, and so became a famous shipping company both domestically and internationally, and we got huge operating profits owing to changes for the better in the shipping market this year." He added, "We all pay attention to changes in the shipping market because good trading profit is from the shipping market at present."
