Lawrence, New Westwood President Appointed

Arnfinn Giske has announced that effective May.1, 2000, Craig Lawrence
, the company' Vice President of Forest Products Marketing and Operati
ons has been appointed as President and chief Operating Officer.
Lawrence' selection represents continuity of Westwood' management phil
osophy and sensitivity to the importance of uninterrupted customer/su
pplier relationships.
"Craig' background skill and experience are what we need to continue
Westwood' international reputation as a top-quality service provider i
n the Pacific," Giske said.
Giske will continue to serve as CEO and work closely with the newly ap
pointed President to make this a seamless transition. Lawrence has bee
n with Westwood since 1980.
In February of this year, Westwood announced a new building program of
seven vessels to be delivered in 2002 and 2003.
