< Hyundai Tokyo >, 6,800 TEU container ship berthed at Incheon New Port

As of 7th June 2015, with the berthing of HMM's < Hyundai Tokyo >,   at Sunkwang New Container Terminal located in Incheon New Port, Incheon Port has become one of the direct ports of call in the Trans-Pacific trade.

What made this historic event possible is the timely opening of new deep-sea terminal facility in southern Incheon, currently providing a 14 meter draft that will be enlarged to 16 meters within 2 years.

The , a 6,800 TEU container ship is a part of the G6 Alliance's CC1 service. Its weekly port rotation is:
Oakland - Busan - Gwangyang - Incheon - Qingdao - Shanghai - Gwangyang - Busan - Los Angeles.
