Beginning in May 1996, Sea-Land Service Inc. will significantly improv
e its service offering between Europe and the Middle East/Far East.
Sea-Land will offer three services between Europe and the Far East, to
gether with a dedicated Europe-Middle East/Subcontinent service.
The scope of ports covered directly will be increased and transit time
s will be significantly reduced in many cases.
Key new features include; Direct calls at PRC ports of Shanghai and Ya
ntian. Direct calls in Malaysia at port Kelang. Direct service between
Sweden and Far East. Direct services between Europe and India. Direct
services between Spain and Far East. Direct services between Itlay an
d Middle East/Far East. Direct services between U.S. East Coast/U.S. W
est Coast and Subcontinent. Express service between Japan and Europe.
Seven calls per weeks at Japanese ports on three westbound services.
