[ New Maersk Feeder Service in Fujian Province ]

In order to cater to the rapid growth in Fujian province, Maersk(China
) Shipping Company Ltd. announced a fixed weekly Maersk Line express s
ervice between the ports of Xiamen, Yantian and Hong Kong. Maersk (Chi
na) Shipping Company Ltd. has invested heavily in the setting up of ow
n agency organization in the Fujian Province and is well positioned to
offer its clients liner service second to none in 1996.
The vessel deployed will be M.V. Arktis Faith with a capacity of 350 t
eu including 50 plugs for reefer containers. The maiden voyage is sche
duled to depart Xiamen Tuesday, 23rd January, 1996.
By inaugurating a dedicated feeder service that ties directly into Mae
rsk Line’s Global Liner network, Maersk is responding to the demands
for quality service from importers and exporters.
