Hanjin Shipping imposes weight surcharge on Asia-Mediterranean cargo
Hanjin Shipping imposed an overweight surcharge of US$100/teu on boxes weighting over 18 tonnes and strict booking control on boxes with over 23 tonnes on the Asia-Mediterranean trade.
The effective date of this surcharge is Dec 15, 2006.
Meanwhile, the carrier also started collecting an emergency surcharge of US$150/teu (dry cargo) and US$275/teu (reefer cargo) on cargo destined for St. Petersburg from Dec 5.
