Sungwoo Shipping Appointed as the General Agent of Benin National Coun
cil of Shippers

Sungwoo Shipping Co., has been entrusted by the CNCB, Conseil National
des Chargeurs du Benin, to deliver on its behalf all necessary documents
(autorisation de reservation de cale-arc-hold reservation notice)
to comply with the prevailing rules and regulations for the importation
of goods in the republic of Benin.
For all shipments to Benin shippers should contact Sungwoo Shipping Co
., Ltd. to obtain indications on how to comply with the new regulations.
The attention of shippers is specifically drawn on the fact that any con-
signment of foods to Benin without the necessary documents (ARC) shall
be penalized by the CNCB and the Benin customs as well, and all in-
terested parties including the carrier may be heavily fined according to
the present rules and regulation in force in the Republic of Benin.
The agreement signed by Sungwoo Shipping Co., and Benin National Council
of Shippers; Considering the necessity to enforce the terms and con-
ditions resulting from the provisions of the UNCTAD code relative to the
maritime transportation of goods.
Considering the decree No.79240 dated 13th September 1979 relative to
the ruling of maritime trade with the Republic of Benin and all the sub-
sequent dispositions, particularly the interministerial decision No.0029
/MET/MCAT dated 20th July 1987.
Considering the CNCB has been granted the mission to organize the devel-
opment of maritime activities between Benin and the Far East, The Benin
National Council of Shippers has decided to appoint Sungwoo Shipping
Company.
Above dispositions to take effect as from 1st September, 1994
