Jindo to establish a container manufacturing company with 48 percent
share in China.
A container manufacturing company, set up under a joint venture between
firms from China, Hong Kong and South Korea, has officially opened in
China.
The $18 million Dalian Jindo Container Co., the largest of its kind in
northeastern China, a joint venture between China’s EAS International
Transportation, Hong Kong’s Yau Wing, and South Korea’s Jindo Corp.
The new container firm has paid-in capital of $9 million, of which 48
percent comes from Jindo Corp., a South Korean conglomerate with 15 years
history of container production, while China’s EAS International
has a 30 percent stake and Yau Wing 22 percent.
The Dalian Jindo Container Co., will have a yearly production capacity
of 20,000 TEUs, aimed at the U.S., European and Asian markets.
The container making plant is the second joint venture for Hong Kong’s
Yau Wing and South Korea’s Jindo Corp., with a similar business in
southern city of Guangzhou.
