Hanjin Shipping receives 10,000 TEU class containership
Hanjin Shipping announced that it received a 10,000 TEU class containership.
Named < Hanjin Netherlands >, this new vessel is the second of the series of five 10,000 TEU class ships ordered at Samsung Heavy Industries.
According to Hanjin Shipping, < Hanjin Netherlands > will be deployed in Asia-Europe trade soon after the delivery, sometime in the beginning of April.
Attending the naming ceremony, Young Min Kim, President & CEO of Hanjin Shipping, commented, "We are convinced that investing in various sizes of vessels is necessary in the long-run."
He added, "Also, we believe these ships of eco-friendly and fuel-efficient design will eventually enhance the competency of the entire shipping industry."
