Port of Hamburg to hold a seminar on logistics in korea
Port of Hamburg delegation will visit Korea from Oct. 26 to 30 to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation with Korean partners and hold a seminar in Seoul on 27, Oct. This seminar, co-held by Port of Hamburg Korea(Lee Ho-young, Korea Representative, TEL: 031-385-1522), Korea International Trade Association, Logistics 21 Forum, will be held at 51 floor, Trade Tower, World Trade Center in Samsung-Dong(conference room 1) and the topic is 'Korea Industries' inroad status into Eastern Europe and Logistics & Distribution Network via Port of Hamburg', no admission fee is needed.
Finally, Korea signed a free trade agreement (FTA) with the European Union and the biggest market will be widely open in front of us. Despite of this global economic slump, the world is watching Korea's outstanding performance to overcome the recession and curious about the booming business with Korean companies in Eastern Europe, especially in Poland. Why did Korean global players choose this region to be their land of opportunities.
The answer will be found at this seminar. The leaders of Port of Hamburg, the gateway to Europe, and HHLA group and POLZUG Intermodal, which show the perfect examples of intermodal transport with its rail operation and logistics network, Korean global logistics companies, playing an important role as a partner of Korean companies which have their own manufacturing facilities in Europe, they will be gathered altogether and discuss the present questions and give live examples about the real advanced logistics.

5 presenters from Germany, such as Dr. Sebastian Juergens(chairman for Intermodal & Logistics segments of HHLA group), Schulze Freyberg(president of POLZUG Intermodal), Juergen Frank(president of HHLA Logistics), Axel Mattern(director of Port of Hamburg), and Volker Werner(director of HHLA Container terminals) will talk about logistics & distribution network via port of Hamburg. From Korea, Prof. Chung Myung-soo, Inha University will make a presentation on 'Role analysis of development trends of global logistics flows based on increasing Korea export volume to Eastern European countries', which will be followed by panel discussion, chaired by Dr. Cho Gye-seok(former president of Korea Logistics Institute)
