Successful BPA marketing activities in Kitakyushu
Busan Port Authority and tenant companies of Busan New Port? distripark successfully conducted port marketing in Kitakyushu, Japan.
BPA said on June 10 that along with KOTRA, it held a port marketing event at the Rihga Royal Hotel, inviting about 200 guests from logistics companies. The event was held to attract more cargoes from Kitakyushu, and BPA there explained Busan Port status, investment opportunities, and New Port Development Plan, and asked participants to expand their investment in Busan Port.
Tenant companies in Busan New Port? distripark, including Hanjin Shipping, KCTC and BIDC, explained Busan Port competitiveness in their own meetings with local companies and drew significant interest in the available investment opportunities.
Mr. Lee, president of BPA, visited Kitakyushu city and suggested establishing a cooperative system for mutual prosperity between the two ports.
A BPA official said that many Japanese companies are trying to advance into Busan Port to take advantage of competitive logistics costs, and with such interest, BPA will continue to host this kind of event to promote exchanges between domestic and foreign logistics companies.<Korea Shipping Gazette>
