Naming for Wallenius pctc Held in USA
On April 25th, a naming ceremony was held in Baltimore, USA for DSME-built H. 4446, an 8,000 Unit PCTC, the world? largest car carrier, ordered by Wallenius Lines.
H.4446 was named ?EDORA?by Mrs.Patricia Carlson Lane, wife of Robert Lane, Chairman & CEO of Deere & Co.
Present at the ceremony were around 200 people, including Mr. and Mrs.Lane, Mr.Jonas Kleberg, Owner & Chairman of Wallenius Lines, Mrs.Lone Fonss Schroder, President & CEO of Wallenius Lines, Mr.Per Croner, President of Wallenius Marine AB, Mr. Arild B Iversen, President & CEO of Wallenius Wilhelsen Logistics Oslo, Mr. Chris Conner, President of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics Americas, and Mr. D.G. Kim, Senior Executive Vice President of CFO/COO of DSME and his wife.
So far, Wallenius has placed orders for 20 PCTCs with DSME.<Korea Shipping Gazette>
