The first feeder container ship arrives in Busan New Port

The feeder container ship called at Busan New Port on Feb 28, which is the first time after it opened a year ago. It is said that the arrival will serve as a stimulus to vitalize the port.

Busan Port Authority(BPA) and Busan New Port Company announced that 962 TEU Star Apex of Namsung Shipping anchored at the third berth of New Port`s North Container Terminal and departed from the port after loading Tokyo-bound transshipment cargo which was unloaded from MSC Loretta. It was the first time for a feeder container ship to come into and load cargo at the New Port.

Busan New Port Company said that this paid the ground to efficiently transport transshipment cargos between New port and North Port and the two ports should cooperate to attract China-bound and Japan-bound transshipment cargo.
