Hanjin Shipping enters Australian Market
Hanjin Shipping estabilishes an independent local office in Austrailia and starts its new business in Jan.2006.
The local office named ?Hanjin Shipping Australia PTY Ltd.? will operate in Sydney as a branch, as well as in Melbourne and Brisbane as subsidiaries.
Hanjin Shipping plans to invest approximately AUD 1million (KRW 700million) in creating the branch and subsidiaries.
Currently, Hanjin Shipping provides two liner services, AUS(Middle East ? Australia) and NCA (Northeast Asia ? Australia)? services and handles cargoes of 65,000TEU annually.
Hanjin Shipping expects to improve its marketing ability by expanding territories abroad as well as improving its international image by operating its sales/marketing organization directly.
