12 Foot Super Express opens faster service for Japan/Korea
KOREX (Korea Express) launched a new service for shorter transit times between Seoul and Tokyo, cutting times down from the current 3 days to 2 days.
KOREX announced on September 25 that it started a new service named ?2 Foot Super Express?by expanding its existing door-to-door service for 12 foot containers transported between Korea and Japan.
The service will shorten transportation times to 48 hours. The company started the new service with its partner company, Nippon Express in Japan.
The 12 Foot Super Express service begins with an ocean service calling at Pusan - Hakata - Simonoseki. After the ocean service, it will transport cargoes around Japan through the JR railway and trucking services. Cargoes transported from the Gyeongin district in Korea to Fukuoka, Japan can be delivered by morning of the next day, within 24 hours. Also, cargoes to Osaka and Tokyo will be delivered within 2 days.
