SK business profits down, net profits up
SK Shipping increased net profits for the first half this year thanks to decreases in corporate taxes, although business profits shrank.
SK Shipping announced on August 14 that sales increased 5% over last year’s 767.3 billion won to 805.9 billion won for first half year.
Business profits dropped to 44.3 billion won, down 26.9% as compared with the same period of last year because of rises in operational costs incurred from rising oil prices.
