Incheon to Japan container service opens
Incheon Port opened a liner container route connecting 4 main ports in Japan including Osaka - Kobe - Yokaichi.
IPA (Incheon Port Authority) announced on July 24 that the port launched a fixed term container service operating between Pyongtaek - Osaka - Kobe - Nagoya - Yokaichi, starting from Incheon port. This route operates on a weekly basis with Sinokor Merchant Marine? 'Sinokor Masan', which is a 272 TEU vessel and weighs 3,597 tonnes.
Originally, the route operated for Japan passing through Pyongtaek - Pusan, but IPA changed the departure port from Pusan to Incheon to improve services for Seoul and Incheon shippers. Incheon Port expects that it will increase about 7,000 TEU ~ 8,000 TEU cargoes yearly.
