Mokpo - Shanghai carferry service reopens
A carferry service connecting Mokpo in South Cheolla Province and Shanghai, China opened again after three years of being suspended.
The Four Season Cruise Company announced that the 17,000 tonne ?C Bridge?left Mokpo Port for Shanghai loading 226 passengers on June 19.
The vessel will depart from Mokpo every Monday and Friday and from Shanghai on every Tuesday and Sunday. This carferry operates at 27 knots at full speed, has a capacity of 600 passengers and takes 16 hours one-way to Shanghai.
This service first started in November 2002, but was suspended in April, 2003 as conditions worsened due to decreases in passengers.
