Gwangyang and Mokpo cargoes increase

Gwangyang Port and Mokpo Port increased both inbound and outbound cargoes.

According to South Cheolla Province, the Korea Container Wharf Authority announced that the port handled 251,000 TEU for January and February of this year, increasing 23.6% as compared with the same period last year.

Mokpo New Port handled 285,000 tonnes, increasing 6.7% as compared with the same period last year.

Gwangyang Port increased handling cargoes thanks to good port positioning and new callings by large shipping companies like Maersk Line and MSC.
