EUKOR orders four PCTC new-buildings from HHI

EUKOR Car Carriers Inc. (EUKOR), placed an order with Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) for four Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs).

The vessels will be built at the Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Shipyard in Mokpo on the Korean south-west coast.

Deliveries are scheduled for the first half of 2008. These modern, state-of-the-art ships will each have a capacity of 6,500 cars (RT43).

They will be equipped with a 150 ton stern ramp and 12, single-stanchion-row, cargo decks whereof 4 decks are liftable.

Maximum service speed is 20.5 knots.
