Asia/West coast South America trade introduce GRI
In order to rectify the present extremely deteriorated freight market, the Member Lines of this Discussion Forum have decided to implement a General Rate Restoration of USD200 per TEU on all ongoing (current) freight rates, effective 1st April, 2001.
This decision has been made after careful study of the trade that the present slack season will turn to active shortly. In addition, economy especially in Chile is expected to make steady development owing to stable market prices on its major products coupled with industrial recovery in Asian countries.
Member Lines is that CCNI, CSAV, Kien Hung, K-Line, Maersk-Sealand
MOL, NYK, P&O Nedlloyd and TMM (Mexican) Line
