Unico Logistics, "Shipping industry continues to grow"

Unico Logistics recently announced the purchase of a Panamax bulk vessel.

Unico Logistics's subsidiary company, Unico Shipping, received the bulk vessel < KALYPSO > from Singapore ADK Maritime in Qingdao, China.

The bulk vessel was made by Sumitomo in Japan. The vessel weighs in at 73,762 tonnes and will be renamed the < Unico Stella >.

In December last year, Unico Logistics contracted on CVC with KOSPO (Korea Southern Power Company). The new vessel will be deployed in this contract.

The contract term is for 12 years from 2016. Unico Logistics transports 900,000 tonnes of thermal coal per year, and a total of KRW 100 billion worth of transportation revenue is expected.

Unico plans to acquire more vessels in line with its CVC and COA operations strategy, and become a mid-large shipping company.
