NYK begins personnel exchanges for logistics upgrade
As part of its comprehensive logistics strategy, NYK has begun an earnest exchange of personnel among its logistics companies. The first personnel transfer went into effect on July 1.
The transfer, including one planned for September 1, will involve 10 staff members from NYK, Yusen Air & Sea Service Co. Ltd., NYK Line Japan Ltd., and NYK Logistics Japan Co., Ltd.
A company spokesperson said that manpower generates added value through innovation and ingenuity and is the key to success in the comprehensive logistics business, so NYK is making a substantial effort to provide its personnel with opportunities to display their talents through training and news experiences and further develop into experts at the forefront of the industry.
The spokesperson went on to explain that for the further growth of the group, it is urgent that they make every effort to foster human resources by allowing those who have deep knowledge and expertise in various logistics fields to transcend boundaries in business divisions and companies.
NYK plans to expand the scope of companies that will take part in the exchange of personnel as one means to strengthen its comprehensive logistics strategy. It also plans to promote business training across the entire group, and strengthen training for salespeople who are working at the forefront of business.
