Large luxury cruise ship calls at Pusan
The largest luxury cruise vessel to call at Pusan Port since its opening recently called with 3,700 passengers. The ?apphire Princess? an extra-large cruise ship from the U.S. entered wharf 2 of Pusan Port at 7 a.m. on April 9.
This is the first time for a cruise ship over 110,000 tons to call at Pusan Port.
This cruise ship is 289 meters long, 50.1 meters wide, rises to a height of 17 floors, and was built in 2001.
The ship has 4 pools, a 2-floor theater, a library, a small church for wedding ceremonies, a night-club, a mini golf course with 9 holes, 4 restaurants, and a health club. The tour route of the vessel starts in Bangkok, sails to Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Shanghai (China), Nagasaki (Japan), Japan, Pusan (South Korea) and Beijing (China). The 'Sapphire Princess', a non-liner cruise ship, left at 6 p.m. on the 9th and calls again on the 17th. It will also call at Pusan Port on the 26th of this month. A sister vessel, 'Diamond Princess', will call at Pusan Port three times in the second half of this year.
