Inchon Port car-ferry service continues to increase passengers

Car-ferry passengers through Inchon Port have sharply increased.
According to the Inchon Regional Maritime Affaires & Fisheries Office, Inchon Port saw 51,266 coastal passengers for 15% growth, and 40,730 international passengers for an impressive 42% growth in March.
The Inchon office pointed out that shipping companies are attracting tourists group, and tourism is continuously increasing with the 5-day work week. Especially, international car-ferry passengers increased over last year. However, that increase was largely a return to normal after the SARS scares last year.
The Sammok~Jangbong service increased passengers by 104% compared with the same period last year, and the Daebu~Ijakdo service increased passengers by 52%. For other overseas services, the Inchon~Dalian service, the Inchon~Yeontai service, and the Inchon~Shidao service increased by 49%, 84% and 124% respectively. The Inchon~Yingkou route increased passengers by 253% after first opening the popular service in January of last year.
