GWSC agrees a charter space with Maersk Sealand

Company improves its containerized deployment network in Asia. Great Western Steamship Company announced a co-operation agreement to charter space aboard Maersk Sealand operated vessels. Under this agreement, called the "Maersk Sealand/Great Western Pacific Slot Charter Agreement", Great Western has chartered space abord Maersk Sealand operated vessels in the trade between Busan, South Korea, and the Port of Long Beach, California. This service commenced the first week of January in Busan. "This agreement between Maersk Sealadn and Great Western will allow us the opportunity to expand our shipping route service network, and increase the frequency of sailing from various calling ports in accordance with the companies operating strategy to provide our customers with world-class service"said Mr. Jay Spence, Executive Vice President of Great Western Steamship Company.
