New Pyeongtaek-Yaontian car ferry route opens
Pyeongtaek Port has opened its 5th car ferry route.
After a Korean-Chinese government agreement, a new car ferry route between the Korean port of Pyeongtaek and the Chinese port of Yaontian has been opened.
On July 3, the entered Pyeongtaek Port. The vessel carried 14 TEU and 86 passengers from the Port of Yantai. Despite heavy fog, the vessel arrived safely in Pyeongtaek.
The is owned by the STENA car ferry group. The vessel can load 942 passengers and 310 TEU.
The new route makes a total of 5 car ferry routes for Pyeongtaek Port. The other four existing carriers and shipping routes are Dalong Ferry in Pyeongtaek - Rungcheong, Lianyungang Ferries in Pyeongtaek - Lianyungang, Pyeongtaek Gyo-dong Ferry in Pyeongteak - Weihai, and Rizhao International Ferry in Pyeongtaek - Rizhao.
