HMM & NYK are to Charter Fixed Slots on KMS

Nippon Yusen Kaisha(NYK) has successfully reached an agreement with Hy
undai Merchant Marine(HMM) to charter fixed slots on the Korea Middle
East Services(KMS).
The new arrangement will commence on 1st of April 2000 with weekly fix
ed schedule service calling Inchon/Pusan/Keelung/Hong Kong /Singapore/
Colombo/Jebel Ali/Dammam/BandarAbbas/Karachi/Pasir Gudeng/Singapore/Ho
ngKong/Keelung.
The new service will start on 1st of April with the call of the 2,100T
EU HMM vessel, “Hyundai Stride” at Inchon.
With this new service, NYK will be able to provide direct service from
Korea/Taiwan/Hong Kong to Middle East and Parkistan with the fastest
transit time and together with GXX, its existing service jointly opera
ted with P&O Nedlloyd, would be able to provide twice a weekly service
from North and South East Asian ports.
