. WAP, which stands for Wireless Application Protocol, enables custome
rs to dial into the Internet by telephone and, at the same time, to ac
cess Panalpina’s consignment tracking system PanTrace. This means tha
t all customers are able at any time to establish the current status o
f their consignments anywhere in the world. The only prerequisite is t
hat they use a WAP compliant mobile phone.
