Korean Air's new cargo flight to Miami
Korean Air newly started offering cargo flights between Seoul and Miami route from July 14th. This weekly service is now being offered temporarily every Friday. Starting August 22nd, regular cargo flight service will be launched twice a week on every Tuesday and Friday.
The newly-launched cargo service between Seoul and Miami is expected to improve transport services for not only cargo leaving or arriving at Miami but also that of Central and South America. In the past, most of the cargo heading for Miami or Central and South America were transported by air to New York, Chicago and Atlanta and then trucked or carried by foreign airlines to final destinations. But the non-stop flight to Miami greatly reduces transport time for cargo headed to such destinations.
The major items delivered on the Seoul-Miami route include cell phones, electronic appliances, automobile spare parts, textiles and agricultural and marine products.
